The dark garnet-colored 1990 has a very fragrant nose of spice box, Christmas fruitcake, cedar, tobacco, smoke, and jammy red as well as black currants flavors. The wine is medium-bodied, quite ripe, with low acidity, a lush expansiveness, and fine purity in its lusty, heady finish.
